Keeping the complexity of global money transfers hidden

Sending money across borders still means banks, intermediaries, days of waiting, and fees that stack at every step. mPay set out to replace that with a stablecoin wallet where money moves globally in seconds, without the user ever needing to know a blockchain was involved.

The whole design problem was disappearance. Every piece of crypto machinery such as wallets, USDC, gas, chains, signatures, had to dissolve into something that felt like an everyday money app. I shaped the existing brand into the product, designed the iOS app end-to-end, and led the motion and interaction language that carried it.

I designed the native iOS app end-to-end: one-tap onboarding, the send, top-up and receive flows, the wallet dashboard, and transaction history. I started with wireframes in Figma, then used the Figma/Claude MCP to generate alternative flows before settling on the simplest, clearest UX, then moved back into Figma to polish the UI.

The entire job was hiding complexity. Wallets, stablecoins, gas and chains all had to disappear behind patterns people already know from everyday banking apps.

Motion carried the trust. I owned the motion language: transfer confirmations, balance and transaction tickers, state transitions, and the micro-interactions that make a three-second transfer feel instant and reassuring. As a native iOS build, it was crafted in After Effects and handed to the engineering team to implement.
